Privacy policy
Afterparty reads your meetings so it can prepare your actions. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and how you delete it all.
Who we are
Afterparty is run by [Company name, org. no.], Sweden (“we”). We are the controller for your account data. For the meetings you bring in, we process the content on your behalf and only to give you the service. Questions about privacy: [contact email].
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address, a hashed password and your time zone.
- Meetings: transcripts you paste, upload or import from a meeting recorder, with their title, date and participants.
- Drafts and reviews: the actions the agents prepare, the answers you give them, and what you approve, edit or dismiss.
- Memory: short notes about people and your habits that Afterparty learns from your reviews, or that you write yourself. You can see, edit and clear them in Settings.
- Connected apps: when you connect an app, we read what an action needs (for example a recent email thread, a calendar, a CRM contact) at the moment it is drafted. We do not copy your mailbox or other app data in bulk.
- Technical: request logs kept by our host for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To find actions in your meetings and prepare drafts for you to review.
- To carry out an action in one of your apps, only after you approve that single item.
- To improve your own future drafts through your memory and recent approved drafts.
- To send you service emails, such as confirming your email or a note that drafts are ready.
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
The legal basis is our contract with you (to provide the service) and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use your meetings, drafts or app data to train AI models. Our AI providers process it under agreements that do not let them train on it either.
Data from Google and other apps
Afterparty's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and other connected apps is used only to prepare and carry out the actions you see in Afterparty. It is not used for ads, not sold, not used to train AI models, and not read by people unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it. You can disconnect an app at any time on the Integrations page, and you can also revoke access from the app itself.
Meeting participants
Transcripts contain what other people said. You decide which meetings to bring in, so make sure you are allowed to, for example because participants know the meeting is recorded. If someone in one of your meetings asks us about their data, we will point them to you and help you answer.
Who helps us run Afterparty
These companies process data for us, each only for the part they do:
| Company | What they do | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign in | Account, meetings, drafts, memory |
| Anthropic | AI models that read transcripts and write drafts | Transcripts, app context, drafts |
| OpenAI | Backup AI model, only used when Anthropic is unavailable | Transcripts, app context, drafts |
| Composio | Connects your apps and stores their access tokens | App tokens, the data read from or written to your apps |
| Inngest | Runs the background jobs that process a meeting | IDs and job status |
| Resend | Sends the email when drafts are ready | Your email address and the meeting title |
| Vercel | Hosts the website and the app | Request logs |
Some of them are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU and EEA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. Delete a meeting and its transcript and drafts are removed. Delete your account in Settings and we remove your account, meetings, drafts and memory, turn off auto import and disconnect your apps. Deleted data can stay in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.
Cookies
The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. Your light or dark theme is stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and take it with you. Most of this you can do yourself in the app; for the rest, email [contact email] and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Sweden that is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each user can only read their own rows in the database. The agents can only read from your apps; anything that sends, posts or changes something runs only after you approve that one item.
Children
Afterparty is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
